Today I took Thomas to the pool for the first time. We joined our good friends the McNichols. He really liked the water. Although his float was not a big hit. Atleast not with him. The McNichols kids loved it. They used it... until it popped. Oh well, like I said Thomas was not a fan of it anyway. Enjoy the pool pics.

Well, Heather, Thomas and I have made it home safely. It was the shortest, longest trip that I have ever taken. I miss the Baxleys so much already, but they have promised to come home in August. Here are some more pictures of our trip. Thomas was, as usual, a trooper. Heather and I decided that he really is the best behaved baby ever. He is now asleep for what is the first of many naps today. He has got to make up for the lack of sleep while we were gone. I don't know who was more glad to see their own bed, me or him.

Heather, Thomas, and I arrived safely in South Carolina last night. It was so great to see Micah and Jen, but more fun to meet Miss Martha for the first time. She is so sweet and cute. We have already taken a ton of pictures. I have put a sampling below. Enjoy!! I will be sure to add more when we arrive back in Tampa.

I am so excited. Tomorrow morning Heather, Thomas, and I will be heading to Columbia, SC to see Jen, Micah, and Martha. (http://www.baxfax.blogspot.com) I am sure that we will take a hundred pictures or more. I will post them first thing Monday. We will be gone for a short three days, but the trip will be worth it. To meet little Martha and give her lots of hugs and kisses and get to spend time with Jen. Yeeeeaaaaaa!!!

I was a nanny for the McNichols family for almost five years. I became a part of their family and them a part of mine. We all know each other inside and out. Needless to say, Matthew, William, and Megan were all very excited to find out that Thomas was on the way. They spent a lot of time during my pregnancy talking about him and asking questions. Now that he is here, they love him and he loves them. He smiles at few people like he does at them. William is especially crazy about him. We had to separate the two of them this Sunday in church. Of course, Ina and I thought it was too cute. Here is a picture of Megan and Thomas the other day. She came over to play and they had a great time. She "read" to him and "fed" him.

Be sure to check out Thomas' bright idea. Thanks Billy for all of the adorable pictures you take of our little Thomas. You can see his bright idea at www.noshoes.blogspot.com
I am sure that this has happened to most mothers. It starts with you noticing that your son's feet are cold. You go to get him a pair of socks, but notice the cute dragon slippers that are in the same basket. You reach for those only to remember that they match a onesie he is about to grow out of. Well, if he is going to wear the slippers then you must put on the matching onesie. So you do... and what results is a photo shoot. You can't pass up this opportunity. He may never fit into either the onesie or the slippers again. So here is a copy of my abuse to my son. But anyone who sees this will have to admit that the end result was so cute that a little abuse couldn't hurt.

Thomas, our sweet little boy, has two loves in his life. And no, they are not Tyler and I. They are his blankie and his paci. They are the magic sleep tools. Put the paci in the mouth, and the blankie over the head and the child falls right to sleep. No arguing or fighting it. He has gotten his very first cold this week. There is no better time to cuddle up with your blankie than when you are sick. Of course, I will say, cuddling with blankie is always better when you are also cuddling with mommy or daddy.
About a month ago Thomas rolled over for the first time. Now he is an old pro. On his stomach he will no longer stay. So much for "tummy time." I finally captured a roll. (Okay, so these pics took place over several rolls.) So take a look.

It's hard to believe that it has already been three months since we had Thomas. Everyone tells you how quickly it goes, but in those first few weeks, maybe even the first month you think, "How can this go by quickly?? This person has been here forever!" But then you start getting sleep, he starts being lots of fun, and time begins to fly. This is where the weird part begins. While it seems like just yesterday that he was born, we can't remember what our life was like without him. What did we do at night?? Just the two of us. That seems so boring now. Life changes so much. But totally for the better!!
